There is so much about Dogeaters that I do not understand. However, I think presently one of my current questions is why does Hagedorn only choose Rio and Pucha to be first person narrators? I honestly want to know what’s really going on in some of these other characters’ heads. What do you think the significance is of having two sisters with very different personalities and perspectives give their first hand narratives? Why those two when there are so many characters? What role does all of their family background and information play in the story? Sorry, I know that these are random thoughts at 10pm on a Saturday night.
